Overview

The Cloud Server Set Up project involved building a robust and secure cloud infrastructure from the ground up using Ubuntu Server and Proxmox as the virtualization platform. The primary objective was to ensure that business applications could run seamlessly in a secure and optimized environment, accessible only via authorized branch office networks. This deployment provided centralized control, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced security for all connected locations.

Key Features

VPN Site-to-Site Connectivity

Implemented secure VPN tunnels to ensure only branch office local networks can access the cloud infrastructure, minimizing exposure to public networks.

Firewall Configuration

Applied strict firewall rules to control inbound and outbound traffic, ensuring only authorized services and IP addresses can communicate with the server.

Security Hardening

Strengthened the server environment through OS-level and application-level security measures, including intrusion prevention and access control policies.

Application Service Deployment

Configured and deployed core application services to run efficiently within the cloud environment, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Automated Backup System

Established scheduled backups for critical data and configurations, ensuring quick recovery in the event of hardware failure or data loss.

This cloud infrastructure deployment provided a secure, high-performance environment for enterprise applications, optimized for multiple branch offices. By integrating advanced security measures, controlled access, and automated backups, the solution ensures operational continuity, scalability, and peace of mind for long-term business operations.
